Bishop David with some of the candidates for last year's confirmation service, held on the 11th of May 2004 at St Mary's Church.

St Mary's joins in with the other three churches in the Skipton cluster (Holy Trinity, Christchurch and St Mary's in Carleton) to run a joint confirmation course for young people aged 11 and over.  This course runs over several months from October to Easter, and involves visits to a range of christian and other faith communities.  In previous years, there have been visits to the Community of the Resurrection in Mirfield, Fountains Abbey and to the cathedrals in Liverpool.  The young people have also visited the local Mosque in Skipton.

A separate course is run for adults who wish to be confirmed.
